Theo visits 29 Palms
Actors from the Hit FX Original Series Showed Their Support and Extended America’s Thanks to Troops at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center 29 Palms:
Actors Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie, stars from the FX original series “Sons of Anarchy,” are used to drawing crowds of fans wherever they go, but when the trio rolled onto the grounds of Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) 29 Palms for a USO visit they were greeted by some of their favorite fans, U.S. Marines and their families. Perlman, who stars as club president ‘Clay Morrow,’ along with fellow cast mates Rossi, who plays club member ‘Juice’ and Callie, who portrays club ally and retired top cop ‘Chief Unser,’ recently took time from their busy schedules to show some love to troops and their families stationed at MCAGCC 29. The actors spent the day signing autographs, posing for photos and getting up close and personal with their military fans.
Perlman, Rossi and Callie lifted the spirits of hundreds of troops and military families currently serving at MCAGCC 29 Palms
This was the first USO tour experience for Perlman and the second USO experience for both Rossi and Callie. In 2010, the duo, along with fellow cast member Kim Coates and Mark Boone Junior, visited more than 2,000 service men and women stationed overseas in Kuwait and Iraq.
An Award-winning actor Perlman’s on-screen accomplishments include fan favorites such as “Hellboy,” and “Blade 2” as well as projects like “Quest for Fire,” “City of Lost Children,” and the Oscar-winning short “Two Soldiers,” among others. Perlman’s most recent film credits include the blockbusters “Conan the Barbarian” and “DRIVE.”
Rossi studied acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York and has appeared in hit television shows such as “Las Vegas,” “Lie to Me,” and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” When not filming Rossi is a big supporter of U.S. troops and works with several organizations, including the USO, to help raise awareness and funds for the military community.
Best known for his role as ‘Charlie Utter’ on HBO’s “Deadwood,” veteran actor Callie’s career spans an impressive two decades and includes appearances in over 20 off-Broadway stage productions as well as roles in film and television including “K-Ville,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Derailed,” among other projects.
“What a day! Every time I spend time with our troops I can’t believe how awesome it is, thank you to the guys at 29 Palms for having us out and thank you to the USO for making the day possible.”

‘Sons of Anarchy’ tough guy to guest on ‘Alcatraz’
Look out for Theo guest starring on the new hit series Alcatraz:
Actor Theo Rossi, who plays extravagantly tatted SAMCRO tech specialist Juan Carlos “Juice” Ortiz on the FX hit, will guest-star on the tenth episode of Fox’s Alcatraz. Theo Rossi plays Sonny, a business man with a dark side, who became ultra-violent during his stint 50 years ago at the infamous prison.
Alcatraz is off to a promising start: Its two-hour debut on Monday was seen by 10 million viewers and had a 3.3 adult demo rating. Here’s Sandra Gonzalez’s interview with executive producer Jack Bender about what the show has in store for us this season (aside from a menacing Rossi).
Sons of Anarchy is helping out a huge charity event called “The Boot
Campaign”. The Boot Campaign is all about showing support and
appreciation for the American troops, both past and present. The
Campaign also raises awareness of the challenges that the troops not only face during training and at war, but it helps people become more aware of the challenges that these heroes have after protecting their country; such as emotional, mental, and physical issues.
TV Fanatic is teaming up with FX and The Boot Campaign to help
everyone become aware of this issue. We are asking you to sign up for The Boot Campaign’s Mailing List and complete a simple form. It does not cost anything to sign up, and additionally, along with supporting this great cause, your signup will enter you into a Sons of Anarchy contest, where the winner will receive:
-Boot Campaign boots signed by the Sons of Anarchy cast members Kim Coates, “Tig” and Theo Rossie, “Juice”
-A Coot Campaign dog tag necklace
-A Sons of Anarchy Season 3 DVD
-An 8×10 printed picture of the SOA and Boot Campaign photo
Again, along with entering to win the prizes listed above, it takes less then 2 minutes to sign up for the Boot Campaign, and it is free of all charges.
TV Fanatic, Sons of Anarchy, and The Boot Campaign thanks you for your support.
Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has promised that SAMCRO will learn the truth about Juice (Theo Rossi).
The simple-minded biker betrayed his gang and killed Miles (Frank Potter) in the FX drama’s recent fourth season.
“One of the things we try to do on the show is not let anything… happen in a vacuum,” Sutter told TVLine. “Ultimately, these secrets always do come back.”
The showrunner confirmed that the truth about Miles’s death will come out “at some point” in the future.
“The truth is, Juice did kill Miles and he did ultimately rat on the club,” he said. “And even though it’s buried for now, there are people out there that are aware that he’s done it. So, yeah, I’m sure we will probably find the right story… to bring that back in play.”
Sons of Anarchy was picked up for a fifth, 13-episode season in mid-October after attracting record ratings for FX.
Theo Rossi along with co-star Kim Coates will be making several appereances for CycleFest USA. The tour is making several midwest stops. Check out the dates and find out how to meet Theo Rossi.
Season 4 of “Sons of Anarchy” will shock you in the lengths SAMCRO member “Juan Carlos ‘Juice’ Ortiz” (Theo Rossi) goes to keep in good stead with the MC that apparently has a race clause in the charter fine print.
How and what he does is classified until air date, but suffice to say, Rockmond Dunbar’s steely gazed character Sheriff Roosevelt has pushed our normally happy-go-lucky Juice to the edges of sanity.
It will break your heart.
Theo spoke to journalists about this gut wrenching series of events coming in episodes five and six, where we witness desperation turn to damnation.
Rossi says of season four, “It’s about to get real murky. Very murky, very crazy. It always is, but it’s really about to go to a whole different level starting next week.”
Oh yeah.
Monsters and Critics would have normally been on this call except we were in the air flying to our high school reunion while it went down. So #FAIL for me, but FX kindly sent the transcript and my dear friends made the call, so here is the credited Q&A:
Media Blvd.: It’s so great to see “Juice” getting some more screen time here.
T. Rossi I’ve been so lucky. Kurt has eleven series regulars to deal with. I’ve been really blessed and lucky with this character, with “Juice,” because, through the first three seasons, I’d really gotten to do some pretty memorable stuff. Some really great memorable scenes that the fans seem to have loved and it’s really shown this guy as the soldier that he is and what an enormous and integral part of the club he is even though we haven’t really gone into his back story and really put him as the focus.
So to now bring up this issue and to exploit on this story line, it’s just the right time and I couldn’t be happier and I just—when Kurt told me what was going to go down before the season and how it was going to go, it’s just great. Anytime Kurt writes anything for me, I’m more than pleased because I just think he is by far—and I think it just shows in the ratings and the fans reactions and everything. There is no writer, there’s no show running that delivers like Kurt’s. It’s just great. I’m excited for him.
