Katey Sagal : An Evening of Music and The Cast of Sons of Anarchy

Hey Folks! Theo Rossi will be joining Katey Sagal this year for a handful of tour dates in An Evening of Music.

The touring show consists of Sagal backed by the Forest Rangers, the band that collaborates to create the music for the wildly popular FX series, created by Sagal’s husband Kurt Sutter. Band leader and Sons of Anarchy music supervisor, Bob Thiele, Jr is excited for the diversion from filming the show, especially since music is a big part of the series and because of each band member’s musical background. “We love playing because that is where we all started many years ago,” said Thiele. “Katey, like the rest of the band, started singing in bands in her teens. And here we are, still at it, years later. It’s pretty cool.”

The band, in addition to Sagal on vocals, consists of Brian Macleod (drums), Davey Faragher (bass), Jeff Young (keys), Gia Ciambotti (backing vocals) and Thiele on guitar. The live show will not only feature the music of SOA, but also some of Sagal’s favorites, including several songs from a forthcoming album she plans to release later this year. “In between acting gigs, I always have a band and play whenever I can,” she said. “I make another record it seems like every ten years, and this is my third solo release.”

In addition to the musical aspect of the touring show, it will also include a moderated panel conversation with Sagal and cast members Theo Rossi (Juice) and Ryan Hurst (Opie). With a weekly viewership of over four million and a Facebook following of nearly 5.5 Million, Sons of Anarchy is FX’s most popular series of all-time, rivaling the ratings of many prime time network shows. Filming for Season 6 begins in mid-May, but Sagal adds that the band will do more touring if this run is successful. “Yes, we will be playing in the future if all goes well,” she said. “We will be playing in the future if no one shows up, too. It’s at the heart of who I am, and of who we are.”

Actors from the Hit FX Original Series Showed Their Support and Extended America’s Thanks to Troops at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center 29 Palms:

Actors Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie, stars from the FX original series “Sons of Anarchy,” are used to drawing crowds of fans wherever they go, but when the trio rolled onto the grounds of Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) 29 Palms for a USO visit they were greeted by some of their favorite fans, U.S. Marines and their families. Perlman, who stars as club president ‘Clay Morrow,’ along with fellow cast mates Rossi, who plays club member ‘Juice’ and Callie, who portrays club ally and retired top cop ‘Chief Unser,’ recently took time from their busy schedules to show some love to troops and their families stationed at MCAGCC 29. The actors spent the day signing autographs, posing for photos and getting up close and personal with their military fans.

This was the first USO tour experience for Perlman and the second USO experience for both Rossi and Callie. In 2010, the duo, along with fellow cast member Kim Coates and Mark Boone Junior, visited more than 2,000 service men and women stationed overseas in Kuwait and Iraq.

An Award-winning actor Perlman’s on-screen accomplishments include fan favorites such as “Hellboy,” and “Blade 2” as well as projects like “Quest for Fire,” “City of Lost Children,” and the Oscar-winning short “Two Soldiers,” among others. Perlman’s most recent film credits include the blockbusters “Conan the Barbarian” and “DRIVE.”

Rossi studied acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York and has appeared in hit television shows such as “Las Vegas,” “Lie to Me,” and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” When not filming Rossi is a big supporter of U.S. troops and works with several organizations, including the USO, to help raise awareness and funds for the military community.

Best known for his role as ‘Charlie Utter’ on HBO’s “Deadwood,” veteran actor Callie’s career spans an impressive two decades and includes appearances in over 20 off-Broadway stage productions as well as roles in film and television including “K-Ville,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Derailed,” among other projects.

“What a day! Every time I spend time with our troops I can’t believe how awesome it is, thank you to the guys at 29 Palms for having us out and thank you to the USO for making the day possible.”

‘Sons of Anarchy’ tough guy to guest on ‘Alcatraz’

Look out for Theo guest starring on the new hit series Alcatraz:

Actor Theo Rossi, who plays extravagantly tatted SAMCRO tech specialist Juan Carlos “Juice” Ortiz on the FX hit, will guest-star on the tenth episode of Fox’s Alcatraz. Theo Rossi plays Sonny, a business man with a dark side, who became ultra-violent during his stint 50 years ago at the infamous prison.

Alcatraz is off to a promising start: Its two-hour debut on Monday was seen by 10 million viewers and had a 3.3 adult demo rating. Here’s Sandra Gonzalez’s interview with executive producer Jack Bender about what the show has in store for us this season (aside from a menacing Rossi).

‘Sons of Anarchy’ exec promises Juice reveal

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has promised that SAMCRO will learn the truth about Juice (Theo Rossi).

The simple-minded biker betrayed his gang and killed Miles (Frank Potter) in the FX drama’s recent fourth season.

“One of the things we try to do on the show is not let anything… happen in a vacuum,” Sutter told TVLine. “Ultimately, these secrets always do come back.”

The showrunner confirmed that the truth about Miles’s death will come out “at some point” in the future.

“The truth is, Juice did kill Miles and he did ultimately rat on the club,” he said. “And even though it’s buried for now, there are people out there that are aware that he’s done it. So, yeah, I’m sure we will probably find the right story… to bring that back in play.”

Sons of Anarchy was picked up for a fifth, 13-episode season in mid-October after attracting record ratings for FX.
